Gavin Beat

Hello, there's a picture of me on the right-hand side - if you click on my picture you will get a huge picture of me that you could use as your desktop, if you wanted.

If you want to email me my address is Gavin_Beat@redgateopen.co.uk

If I was the manager I would play myself Centre Midfield. I don't mind playing Wide Midfield if I must. If it's a toss up between being a substitute or playing Centre Back, I suppose it would do.

After the match, if someone's getting the drinks in I'll usually have a Cold Lager, but if it's Clayton's round, he can get me a White Wine.

My favourite ever match was Devonshire away – Redgate won 3-2, because there was a bit of banter going off at 2-2 and I told the opposing Centre midfielder that Redgate would win (10 Mins to go). With about 2 mins to go I scored a very rare goal (the most enjoyable goal that I have ever scored). It was a bit like a fairy-tale really and my heart has never beat so fast – it felt like I was going to keel over there and then. I bet junkies would pay thousands for that!! It was a rare victory, complemented by the fact that I was attending my sisters wedding that evening with some team mates to celebrate the occasion (The Victory that is!).

If I was asked to manage a World XI, which I was, to play the Mighty Redgate, the team which would narrowly beat them would include the following players:

Leighton

Rioch   Mcleish   Hansen   Nicol

Mcallister   Souness   Gemmil   Collins

    Law   Dalgleish
