Liverpool has a proud tradition of producing world-class
footballers, and world-class footballers are created
at grass-roots. That's where the Zingari league comes
in. A 'feeder league' for the North Western Trains League,
itself a feeder for the English Conference, in turn a
feeder for the World Famous English Football League.
So that's where we sit - supporting the whole English
Football League.
The Zingari has been around since they were playing
with Pigs Bladders, and Tunics for goalposts. We joined
the league this season (2002-3) after successfully navigating
the Southport and District League - acheiving promotion
but opting for the more challenging Liverpool set-up.
